Sanderson Cyber Security is the public-facing brand of Sanderson Cyber Security Consultancy Ltd, created to help small and growing organisations understand their cyber risk without unnecessary complexity, fear-based sales or jargon-heavy reports.

Your consultant

Brian Walker

Founder / Cyber Security Consultant

Brian founded Sanderson Cyber Security Consultancy Ltd to provide practical security health checks and in-person staff awareness training for small and growing businesses. You work directly with the founder from the initial discussion through to reporting and follow-up.

Based in Ramsgate, serving Thanet and Kent. Recommendations focus on accounts, devices, email, cloud services, backups, staff habits and the processes that protect everyday business operations.

Security Health Checks are advisory assessments, not penetration tests or formal certification. Scope, access requirements and price are agreed before any work begins.

Our approach

Useful security starts with understanding the business.

A recommendation can be technically correct and still be unrealistic for a small business. Sanderson focuses on proportionate controls, clear priorities and practical improvement rather than assuming every client needs enterprise-scale tools.

Health Checks draw on recognised security guidance and good practice, while making clear that Sanderson is not issuing formal certification or claiming an accreditation that has not been earned.

Trusted

Handle client information carefully and be clear about scope.

Capable

Apply practical technical knowledge to real business environments.

Clear

Explain findings so decision-makers can understand what matters.

Practical

Recommend proportionate actions instead of complexity for its own sake.

What clients can expect

Clear boundaries

Testing is carried out only within agreed scope and written authority.

Plain-English reporting

Technical findings are translated into business-relevant explanations and actions.

Long-term improvement

Follow-up and recurring reviews help prevent security from becoming a one-off exercise.

Security made clear

You should leave an engagement understanding your risks better than when it started.

That principle shapes the reports, training, remediation guidance and conversations Sanderson provides.
