SANDERSONCYBER SECURITY

Security Health Checks

Cyber security health checks in Thanet and Kent.

A Sanderson Security Health Check gives small businesses a practical view of their current cyber security. Brian Walker visits your premises in Ramsgate, Margate, Broadstairs or elsewhere in Kent, with scope and travel agreed in advance. We look across people, technology and processes, then explain the findings clearly and prioritise sensible next steps.

How it works

Clear scope before any assessment begins

01

Initial conversation and scope

02

Written authorisation and pre-audit questionnaire

03

On-site and/or agreed evidence-based assessment

04

Plain-English report and prioritised remediation roadmap

05

Optional follow-up, separately scoped and quoted

What is not included by default

A health check has clear limits.

A normal Security Health Check does not automatically include exploitation, denial-of-service testing, phishing simulation, password attacks or other intrusive activity. Sanderson does not currently offer penetration testing. If specialist testing is needed, we will explain the distinction so you can arrange a separately authorised service with an appropriate provider.

Make the report useful to your business

The assessment looks for evidence within the agreed scope. Each important finding explains what was observed, why it matters and a practical action. Priorities help you decide what to address first with your IT provider or the person responsible for your systems.

The quotation confirms access requirements, visit duration and the report delivery date. Changes to your systems and subsequent reassessment are agreed separately, so you can plan responsibility, timing and cost.

Practical questions

Where do you work?

On-site work is primarily available across Thanet and Kent. Your quotation confirms the location, travel arrangements and any travel charges before you book.

How long will the visit take, and when will I receive the report?

The required time depends on your staff, locations and systems. Your proposal will state the planned assessment duration and report delivery date before you commit.

What should we prepare?

Nominate a business contact and your IT contact, if you have one. The pre-assessment questionnaire identifies relevant systems, policies and backup information. We agree any access in advance; do not send passwords or security evidence with an initial enquiry.

Will normal work be interrupted?

The health check focuses on review and agreed evidence collection. Any activity that could affect normal operations is discussed and authorised in advance. Exploitation, denial-of-service tests and password attacks are not part of this service.

What is included, and is follow-up extra?

The agreed assessment includes a plain-English report and prioritised remediation roadmap. The proposal confirms how findings will be discussed. A separate reassessment is normally quoted at £195–£295 depending on scope; it is not automatically included in the initial price.

Is this penetration testing or certification?

No. This is an advisory security health check. Sanderson does not currently offer penetration testing or issue formal security certification.
