Website Terms

These terms apply to your use of sandersoncyber.co.uk. They are separate from the Client Terms of Engagement and any written scope or authorisation agreed for paid services.

1. About this website

This website is operated by Sanderson Cyber Security Consultancy Ltd, trading publicly as Sanderson Cyber Security, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17424401. Its registered office is 22 Highfield Court, Highfield Road, Ramsgate, United Kingdom, CT12 6QL.

You can contact us at contact@sandersoncyber.co.uk.

2. General information, not engagement advice

The website describes our services and provides general cyber-security information. It is not a substitute for advice based on your organisation's actual systems, risks, contracts and legal obligations.

Reading this website, sending an enquiry or receiving an initial response does not by itself create a consultant-client relationship, authorise security testing, or require either party to proceed with an engagement.

3. Security services and authorisation

Any assessment, audit, technical validation or other security activity is subject to separately agreed scope, commercial terms and appropriate written authorisation. Sanderson will not treat a website enquiry as authority to access, test or interfere with any system.

Security Health Checks are point-in-time assessments. They do not certify an organisation, guarantee that every weakness will be identified, or remove the need for ongoing security management.

4. Accuracy and changes

We take reasonable care to keep website information useful and current, but technology, threats, guidance, prices and legal requirements can change. Content may therefore be updated, corrected or withdrawn without notice.

Where a quotation, proposal or signed agreement conflicts with general website information, the specific written engagement documents take priority for that engagement.

5. Pricing

Prices shown on the website are indicative launch prices unless expressly stated otherwise. Final price and scope are confirmed in writing before work begins. Larger, more complex or specialist work may be quoted separately.

Sanderson is not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not currently charged. This will be updated if the company's VAT status changes.

6. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, website text, branding, layout and original materials are owned by or licensed to Sanderson Cyber Security Consultancy Ltd. You may view and print reasonable extracts for your own internal reference, but you must not reproduce, republish, sell or misrepresent our content as your own without permission.

Third-party names, marks and guidance referred to on this website remain the property of their respective owners. References do not imply endorsement, accreditation or partnership unless explicitly stated.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse this website or deliberately attempt to disrupt, overload, bypass or compromise its security. You must not submit malicious code, abusive content, unlawfully obtained data, passwords, authentication secrets or sensitive evidence through website contact routes.

Nothing on this website grants permission to test Sanderson, a client, a supplier or any third party. Cyber-security testing must always be properly authorised.

8. Third-party websites and services

This site may link to third-party websites for convenience or reference. Sanderson does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices. You should review the relevant third party's own terms and privacy information.

9. Availability and security

We aim to operate the website securely and reliably, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed. We may suspend or restrict access for maintenance, security, supplier outages or other operational reasons.

10. Liability

Nothing in these website terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, Sanderson is not responsible for losses caused solely by reliance on general website information where a proper assessment or specific professional advice would reasonably have been required.

Liability for paid client work is governed by the applicable proposal, Client Terms of Engagement, written scope and any other agreed engagement documents, not these website terms.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Notice explains how we use personal information connected with website visits, enquiries and services.

12. Governing law

These website terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply by law.

13. Questions

Questions about these website terms can be sent to contact@sandersoncyber.co.uk.

These are practical website-use terms. They are not a substitute for the separate commercial terms used for client engagements.
